Augie was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award for the College of Education in December 2024. Augie was nominated by staff and faculty within the college’s Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies department. Award criteria from the College of Education: It is based on scholarship, leadership, and citizenship, supported by honors/awards, professional affiliations, volunteer experiences, scholarships, a GPA of 3.25 or above, and are expected to graduate in December 2024. Upon nomination, Augie submitted a statement of professional goals, a resume, and a letter of support. They were selected by the College of Education Faculty and Staff Awards Committee.
