The purpose of the conference and leading endeavors that came to flourishion from Mobilizing Decolonial Praxis is to establish critical meaningful dialogues, relations, and actions with the community and the type of education we engage with. Through the ITEP conference, we were honored by the presence of advocates, youth, knowledge holders, the community, and scholars to think about ways to recenter and deconstruct what education means for us as Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous communities in education.

A vital component of this process is, how do we think and act to create safe spaces to indigenize education for our Indigenous communities to pursue higher education? We equip our Indigenous teacher candidates in the program with the tools to becoming Native Nation Builders as teachers through:

• Privileging Indigenous knowledges, values, and languages within the classroom
• To engage in critical and culturally sustaining pedagogies
• Establishing and practicing justice center education
• Recorded sessions
